Why Our Clinic?

When we started Bay Colony Pediatrics in 2006 in League City (yes we are in League City, our post office is in Dickinson), we wanted a clinic where, to rephrase Mahatma Gandhi, “a patient is the most important visitor on our premises”. We give this quote to every new employee.

Dr. Ramchandra was tired of clinics where one was expected to see a large number of patients each day, with just a few minutes per patient, long wait times, and no attention to quality of care.
Our primary focus has always been our patients. It's why we focus on comprehensive quality care, listening to patients, and giving parents the time they need and we are reasonably priced! We give same day appointments, allow walk ins, have extended hours, are open on weekends, and have 24/7 on-call availability. We perform many procedures and tests in our office to save a trip to the ER. Many patients prefer coming to us, rather than going to an urgent care facility or the ER. We built our in-house pharmacy to serve patients with free home delivery. Our clinic is full of child friendly murals and has separate well and sick clinics separated by a wall and independent air conditioning systems. We have second generation patients. Our patients come from a wide geographical area, including some from Louisiana!

We have been in the forefront of the latest technologies available to give the best care possible. For example, we have been using auto-refractors and oto-acoustic emissions for the past 14 years for vision and hearing exams. Before it became an industry standard, we began using an electronic medical record system over 12 years ago. Our clinic was first to automatically export immunization data from our computers to the state registry. We have been using DNA testing for detecting viral and bacterial infections for many years. Our team has been using televisits since 2018. You can now text and communicate to engage with us for various services without being on hold!

Our nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, RNs, and medical assistants work as a team with Dr. Ramchandra, a board certified pediatrician, with over 20 years of experience. Many of our employees have been with us for many years.
